Chi-Town Daily News is a nonprofit online newspaper. We cover Chicago with a network of volunteer grassroots journalists who write about news and events in their neighborhoods.

We offer free journalism workshops every month to help our volunteers and other members of the public become better writers and reporters.

The information on this site is designed to teach volunteers with no prior journalism experience the basics -- how to cover a public meeting, conduct an interview, write a story. We hope you find it useful.
